Ram Sagar Khindsi
In the British rules then irrigation axperts joined the two hills with an earthan dam in 1902.They arrested the water of ‘Kapila’ and ‘Sur’ river and a large fresh water dam was formed.18 surrounding villages got their land submerged in this dam knowing ‘Ram Sagar’.The large amount of water is ample to provide drinking water to Ramtek town and even supply water for irrigation upto Bhandara district. Number of fisherman get livelihood by fisheries in this fresh water.Recently the spot is also developed as a picnic point.The main wall of dam was built here a small village Khindsi hence it is also known as ‘Khindsi Dam’.And it’s large area upto ‘Gadmandir’ named it as ‘Ramsagar’.
